With his experience in cybersecurity research, innovation and development, Mr Berthier will contribute to the development of the innovation ecosystem in order to expand and raise the profile of the cyber sector in Quebec and Canada, as well as contributing to the sector’s efforts to recruit and train cybersecurity talent.
Paul Berthier, M.Sc.A, is an expert in critical infrastructure security with a passion for innovation. He began his career as a research associate in the computer security laboratory at École Polytechnique de Montréal, where he was involved in mentoring numerous students and designing several research programmes with industrial partners. He then joined RHEA, where he was in charge of collaborative R&D projects with partners such as CRIM, École Polytechnique and Cybereco. As Product Owner for the RHEA Group’s Cyber Range, Paul also led internal development and innovation projects, notably in the aeronautical, power grid, space and rail sectors.
Paul holds a master’s degree in cybersecurity from École Polytechnique de Montréal, as well as French engineering qualifications from Télécom ParisTech and Eurecom. He is also pursuing an MBA at HEC Montréal.
