Launched at the Cyberconference 2022, Cybereco’s Women in Cyber Mentorship Program is an opportunity for women working in the field of cybersecurity in Quebec to develop their professional network, increase their knowledge and hone their leadership skills.
The mentorship program aims to support and promote women in cybersecurity and to empower the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
This program is open to female students (CEGEP, University) and early career professionals in cybersecurity and related fields who wish to take advantage of this opportunity to be mentored by an experienced professional in order to learn more about the field and increase their professional network.
There are many benefits for both mentees and mentors:
For mentees
- Benefit from the personalised advice and experience of your mentor;
- Gain knowledge about the cybersecurity environment;
- Increase your professional network;
For mentors:
- Contribute to the next generation of Quebec women in cybersecurity
- Improve your leadership skills
- Make a difference in the mentee’s professional or academic career.
Eligibility criteria for mentees
- Be a woman or identify as such
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Student in cybersecurity and related fields (CEGEP, University) or professional at the beginning of her career in the field of cybersecurity and related fields
Eligibility criteria for mentors
- Be a woman or identify as such
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be a professional working in the field of cybersecurity and related fields with at least 3 years of experience – Have professional experience
